High Availability Means Low Operating Costs
All connections of the power modules are easily and quickly accessible from the outside, which means you do not have to disassemble the entire Tower if you want to change the number of modules. Just loosen the accessible screw and cable connections, and you can remove or add a module without effort.
1500 Amp Output Current at 16 Volts
The MSA Tower
is a new milestone in the field of industrial rectifiers, which can be easily
adapted to the user's needs. It consists of one Master power module and at
least one Power module. The MSA Tower
can easily be upgraded up to a nominal
output current of 7,500A or 125kW, which
consist of 5 modules paralleled.
The energy
efficiency of each power module is above
90 %, ensuring a remarkably low
energy consumption of the MSA Tower
and is rated for continuous, full load,
industrial operation without any
reduction in output power.
Construction:
The rectifiers are
integrated in a durable, corrosion-resistant
bench case. All connections of the power modules are easily and quickly accessible from
the outside, which means you do not have to disassemble the entire MSA Tower, if you want to change the
number of modules. By loosen the accessible screw and cable connections, you
can remove or add a module without effort. The copper DC bus bars are located on the backside of the MSA Tower.
Cooling air is taken in from
the bottom and blown out of the rear of the enclosure. Variable speed, thermostatically controlled
fans ensure that only the required amount of cooling air is used. This
reduces noise and excessive wear of the fans. Cooling air is directed only
to electrical components requiring cooling and protects components against
corrosive chemical vapors. This gives our bench case rectifiers exceptional
service life.
